Provide evaluations of team members technical performance for consideration by the System Safety Engineering Manager during development of Employee Performance Appraisals and provide recommendations and inputs for performance awards (e.g., quarterly, on-the-spot, etc.) when justified.Coordinate inputs to DRDs as necessary (including weekly notes, monthly notes, PEB inputs, etc.).Assess team member training needs and deliver/coordinate the delivery of training by responsible training personnel.Assist the System Safety Engineering Manager in the review of hazard analysis products for technical accuracy and coordinate peer reviews in advance of customer delivery dates.Develop and present status reports to upper management during various program management reviews such as Certificate of Flight Readiness Review (COFR), Stage Operations Readiness Review (SORR), and Flight Readiness Review (FRR).Further, develop and present operational hazard control verification evidence to the responsible Safety Verification Board. Confirm/validate successful closure of hazard control verifications. Track and/or monitor the implementation and validation of hazard controls in accordance with approved hazard reports and verification plans.Track to closure all System Safety Analysis Report (SSAR) review comments and Tabletop Safety Review (TTSR) Action Items and Agreements.Evaluate and provide recommendations for acceptance of Non-compliance Reports, and Requests for Waiver/Deviations.This assessment includes evaluation of the impacts to safety and hazard analyses and the effects on program or project risk. Assess proposed changes to SLS Program documentation to assure compliance with safety requirements.Review and assess SLS Program documentation (e.g., Contractor PWS, Data Requirements Documents, System Requirements Document, Contract End Item, Requirements Verification Compliance procedures, etc.) to assure that safety requirements are addressed in compliance with Agency, Center, and Program requirements.Classify the identified risks in terms of severity and likelihood, and present results to the Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate Management and other risk accepting authorities during development milestones reviews, Table-Top Safety Reviews (TTSR's), and other technical and SMA reviews in support of flight readiness and certification. Provide in-line support to the Program Analysis & Systems Integration Branch through the identification and analysis of potential hazards associated with the integration of the Space Launch System (SLS) Vehicle Elements and Cross-Program Integration of the SLS Vehicle with sibling Programs (Orion Spacecraft and EGS).The System Safety Engineering Technical Lead will support the MSFC Safety and Mission Assurances Support Services (MSMAS) Contract at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama.
